Residents in Bray Co. Wicklow have acted with commendable maturity with the news of the opening of a new NirVanA headshop in Bray, Despite the ignorant attempt by a small local newspaper to sensationalise the opening of NirVanA in the village arcade the support shown by the people of Bray has been very comforting.NirVanA's, Jim & Paddy have been overwhelmed with the level of support afforded them by the locals. In a statement issued by Jim and Paddy they said "The people of Bray have shown their knowledge and concern of the current scandalous drugs situation at ground level on the streets, not just in Bray but nationwide, they recognise how we are trying to curtail the criminality of drug pushers by offering a safer legal alternative to the rat poison being peddled by the criminal gangs that terrorise our neighbourhoods". They went on to say "It is a pity that their are not more people as educated on the good people of Wicklow,who understand that, by offering safe legal regulated alternatives to adults, it takes money from the gangsters, thus reducing their income which in turn makes the purchase of guns less affordable which obviously leads to a safer environment and safer streets". We would like to commend and thank the local residents of the Bray district for their support, understanding and friendliness" they added.
